Ratusz Arsenał opened on 11 May 2001 alongside Świętokrzyska, on the stretch that first carried the metro north of Centrum. The platform is 120 metres long and the station covers about 4,600 square metres, making it one of the tighter ones on the line. The exits come up onto Bankowy square and Solidarności avenue, in an area with an unusual density of tram routes: more than a dozen lines linking Wola with Praga and Muranów with Śródmieście stop here.
