Welcome to the Warsaw Metro

warsawmetro.org is an independent guide to the Warsaw Metro. The network has 2 metro lines and 38 stations; at Świętokrzyska — the network's only interchange station — lines M1 and M2 cross, connecting the city from south to north and from east to west.

The metro is run by Metro Warszawskie Sp. z o.o. as part of the Warsaw Public Transport Authority (ZTM) system; you pay with a Warsaw City Card or a ZTM ticket. Frequently asked questions

The network has 2 lines (M1 blue, M2 red) and 38 stations. The lines cross at a single interchange station — Świętokrzyska (M1+M2) — and at many stations the metro connects with ZTM trams and buses.

A 75-minute ticket costs 4.40 zł, a 90-minute ticket (zone 1+2) 7.00 zł (both include free transfers for the whole validity of the ticket). The discounted fare is 2.20 zł, and a 30-day ticket is 110.00 zł. See fares and the Warsaw City Card.

The metro runs roughly from 04:55 to 00:15. On nights from Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday the metro runs later (until about 03:00); on other nights once the metro closes, ZTM night buses (N lines) take over. Find exact times on the timetable page.

Chopin Airport is not directly served by a metro line. The fastest way is to take line M1 to Wilanowska station, then continue by bus or tram, or take a bus line that runs straight to the airport. Plan your connection with the route planner.

The Warsaw Metro has a single interchange station: Świętokrzyska (M1+M2). The transfer takes place inside the station without leaving the paid zone; many stations also connect with trams and buses.
