Politechnika station — what to know

Politechnika is one of the first eleven stations that opened on 7 April 1995, the day the Warsaw Metro began running. The platform lies about 13 metres beneath Politechniki square and the station covers close to 14,900 square metres. The name is literal: the exits come up at the buildings of the Warsaw University of Technology, which gives the station a distinctly academic rhythm — a sharp morning peak and an early-afternoon one on teaching days.

Yes. Every station on the Warsaw Metro has lifts between street level and the platform, and the platforms have tactile markings. We do not list the number or location of individual exits: Metro Warszawskie does not publish them in a consistent form, and guessing would be unfair to anyone planning a journey in advance.
