Plac Wilsona station — what to know

Plac Wilsona station — Warsaw Metro

Plac Wilsona is the most decorated station on the Warsaw Metro: in 2008 it was named the world's finest new metro station at the MetroRail awards. It opened on 8 April 2005. The signature feature is the oval, backlit ceiling above the platform, which shifts colour. The platform lies about 9 metres beneath the square, runs 120 metres and the station covers just under 4,800 square metres. Around it stretches Stary Żoliborz, an inter-war modernist district.
